Skræl ingefæren og evt. gurkemejerod, og skær den i skiver (Hvis ingefæren er økologisk, behøves den ikke at blive skrællet).
Kog ingefær, gurkemejerod og vand i 40 min.
Tilsæt citron, og kog 5 min.
Afkøl væsken til den er lunken, og tilsæt honning.
